It seems that there's a trend of trading guys a year earlier than you have to. Parise had a year left of a reasonable contract. I don't know why you don't roll with him another year and then unload him next summer when he's due for a large raise or when Brodeur could be gone, you can afford him. Sorry Scott but I think you jumped the gun. Props to Bryan on adding a bonafided star.

I like this for Colorado. But if Setoguchi turns it back around, could be a solid trade for both teams.

Parise is sick no doubt about it but I gained in EVERY catergory with these 2 and have more fire power then I started the day with.. hence being in the elite crowd in this league

I never defend trades really but to me, this was a no brainer!
2 good player (Seto on a low but imo will be a better scorer for many years) for 1 stud makes too much sense..

Re: Back with a splash. Blockbuster NJD & COL
I like Seto, but I think Laich is overrated at this point in his career, if I'm dealing Parise I want sure things in return, neither player is a sure thing, nice pieces though, no doubt.
Re: Back with a splash. Blockbuster NJD & COL
This point of his career? He's 27 and is a fantasy stallion.. Parise is as well of course but to be fair, Laich was probably more valuable all around then Zach last year.. no kidding.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONI like Seto, but I think Laich is overrated at this point in his career, if I'm dealing Parise I want sure things in return, neither player is a sure thing, nice pieces though, no doubt.

Re: Back with a splash. Blockbuster NJD & COL
I am of the opinion of scotts here. This was a very hard trade for me to make because I hate two for ones, kills the depth chart fast. However I landed a stud and top end talent is hard to come by. Hopefully that was laichs career year and seto follows in the steps of alexander daigle and takes up acting so i dont regret this even the slightest bit!

Re: Back with a splash. Blockbuster NJD & COL
Like this for Scott ... No raping though. As a Sharks fan, really hope Seto turns it around as well.

27 year old third liner, emerges as a top 6 forward on the best offensive team in the league...Not saying he's a plumber, but I need to see more before I'm convinced.Raptactics wroteCOLONThis point of his career? Lol, and you told me i was a fool to not accept Krejci and Callahan/Bourque for Parise. I am pretty sure you just defended this with the exact answer i gave you...I'm onto you and your plansRaptactics wroteCOLONAnd?Snipeshow wroteCOLONSetoguchi had 36pts last year.Raptactics wroteCOLON
